Navigating Neopoet: New Member Workshop

Description: As an official welcome to Neopoet, we encourage all new members to join this workshop. Every new member is welcome. Completing the activities in this workshop will teach you how to navigate and use Neopoet effectively.

Objectives: This workshop consists of ten tasks that will help users understand the basics of using Neopoet and will help familiarize users with the major features of the community.

Level of expertise: Open to all

Subject matter: Each step of the Navigating Neopoet process will come with instructions – including brief video tutorials – and support will be provided by moderators and the workshop leader for anyone who gets stuck. Reach out anytime!

Every member that completes this workshop – according to a checklist completed by a moderator – will receive one month of premium membership for free.

Overview of Workshop tasks:

1. If their profile has not been updated, member must add three things about themselves on the profile.
2. Leave a comment anywhere on the site
3. If member has not already, post a new poem.
4. Join New Member Contest or Challenge
5. Create a blog post
6. Send a message to workshops (comment on this workshop)
7. Search for any user ( moderator provide account as item to search)
8. Search for content at user’s discretion
9. Read the FAQs
10. Find a user and position of any member on the list
11. Final reflection
